Left to right: vegan quinoa zucchini lasagna, tutti frutti (taken literally), baby spinach salad with carrots and bell peppers and some beet slices
I decided yesterday to delete myfitnesspal from my phone. I didn’t want to wait any longer to start freeing myself from numbers. I now have a recovery app that focuses on my thoughts and feelings and I’ll see how that fares.
I’m seriously considering that, as part of the New Year excitement of starting anew, I will delete myfitnesspal off of my phone. I was using it for macros for a good while, but I’ve since fluctuated between checking protein and just checking calories. I don’t really lift weights—I do squats, push-ups, abs, yoga, and I run—so I feel like the macros given to me aren’t really beneficial because of that. Plus, again, I’m starting to focus on only calories and I’m worried I might get restrictive.
I want to go back to focusing on living life and intuitively knowing what to eat/not eat at any given moment, all without depending on technology.
There were no raisins, so I just snacked on capsized canoes aka sliced apples with peanut butter
I ate two apples today at my friends’ house (they’re sisters) and when one noticed I replied, “Well, an apple a day keeps the doctor away; I’m doubly covered tonight.”
